February 3, 2004 Chicago,
IL - "Those who break the rules must
believe they will be punished, and the single
most effective fraud deterrent is the belief that
you will be caught and that the authorities will
be notified if fraud has occurred," says
John Hall, founder of Hall Consulting, a firm
dedicated to helping companies identify and combat
fraudulent accounting practices in the Great
Ideas section of the Hall Consulting website
(www.hallconsulting.biz) launched today.
More than 20 tips are included in the site's Great Ideas section,
which appears as a pop-up screen to web visitors. In addition
to free tips and recent articles authored by Hall on the
topics of fraud prevention, detection and response, risk
management and internal auditing, the website features
descriptions of 15 seminars and training sessions that Hall
Consulting offers. Visitors can preview the sessions, review
client references and schedule the firm for meetings and
events.
"We are extremely excited about this new
website as a tool for communicating with companies
genuinely interested in what they can do to eliminate
the environment that allows for fraudulent practices
and other wrongdoing," said Hall. "
The only way to truly minimize exposure is to
establish the right controls, educate the workplace
and communicate the appropriate process and substantial
consequences of not complying. Our website now
provides insight and suggestions for how to companies
might address these issues."
Founder and President of Hall Consulting, Hall brings more than
25 years experience in accounting and consulting to bear on behalf
of his clients. A frequent trainer and professional speaker, he
chaired the American Institute of CPAs National Conference on Fraud
last October and lectures and conducts training seminars for Fortune
500 companies as well as professional associations including regional
and national Certified Public Accounting (CPA) groups. |
